The Fine Print: Let's talk about tees!

Pantone’s Unprecedented Color of Year Choices

For the first time in the history of Pantone, their elite color standards group from nations around the world chose two colors of the year. 2016 will be the year of Rose Quartz and Serenity. As the renowned authority on color around the world, Pantone dictates designer color schemes used in everything from advertisements, to fashion, to makeup.

The official video released from Pantone reflects a particularly turbulent year in world events. 2015 has been the year of technological progression, war, the blurring of gender lines and other significant social developments that impact daily living and breed stress and unrest. Pantone chose two subtle colors to promote tranquility and calm, if nowhere else, than within design aesthetics.

Complimentary colors to the pairing are silvers, grays muted greens, hues of orchids, browns, golds, and deeper blues. Graphic Designers, Fashion and Interior, and Industrial designers will use this color system to create what we’ll see next year on the catwalk, in home décor and building facades.

Pantone also produces a fashion color report which dictates the palettes that will be used in seasonal designer collections. It even impacts the selection of t-shirt colors that will be available for use in the custom screen printing industry. After Rose Quartz and Serenity, we’re likely to see Buttercup, Lilac Gray, Iced Coffee, Peach Echo, Snorkel Blue, Limpet Shell, Fiesta and Green Flash adorn the fashion minded public.

So look forward to this spring’s unisex color palette designed to be above all else, calming and an exercise in yin and yang.

Top O' the Mornin to You! St. Patty's Shirts

As February comes to a close the season of spring will soon be upon us. The official first day of spring for 2013 will be on March 20, but before we get to this year's vernal equinox we have one more holiday to celebrate. It's our favorite green holiday, St. Patricks day! There is much speculation on the true history of the famous Irish cleric. He left behind only a few letters after his death on March 17 460 A.D. Irish legends have persisted such as St. Patrick banishing all the snakes from Ireland and his walking stick growing in to an ash tree upon thrusting it into the Earth. Remembrance of the life and work of St. Patrick has grown into a festive holiday in the United States, and now March 17 is a holiday where everyone can celebrate in jovial Irish fashion! We have some custom T-shirts that will put a smile on your face and have you looking great in glorious green.

Of course St. Patrick's day wouldn't be complete without bagpipes, beer and corned beef so create a shirt that shows off your love for any of these Irish favorites. Everyone is Irish on St. Patrick's day, so grab some friends, pour a cold one and get out and have some fun! And since you will be appropriately dressed in green with these custom St. Patrick's day shirts be sure to pinch anyone who has failed to wear the festive color!

Have fun and be safe! May the luck of the Irish be with you!

Family Reunion Tips Part 1

January is coming to a close and the glow of the holiday season is finally fading away. All the joy of spending time with family is but another fond memory to look back on. The good news is you don't have to wait until next year to see the whole family together again. Start planning a family reunion for this spring/summer! Whether you are a veteran reunion coordinator or it is your first time, we have a few tips to help your planing as well as examples of custom family reunion shirts to unite the whole family.

It is a difficult task to choose a location if you have family spread across the country. Try picking a place that works for the majority of people that won't make relatives from distant places feel like they are being neglected.  Choose a place that will feel like a special getaway for all participants. Creating shirts that showcase the venue is a great way to commemorate the occasion, especially if your family chooses a new place each year.

A great theme can go a long way towards making the event memorable. Use something general like "Western", "Under the Sea" or "Sports" if you are still new to planning a large event. Try a specific theme to really get creative and make your reunion one of a kind! A great thematic idea will help to simplify the planning process since you can always fall back to it for inspiration if you are having trouble coordinating decorations, games and events. And of course a theme looks great on a shirt!
